Measurement Technician

Job Summary

This position is for a person qualified in the Measurement Field with the responsibility for the inspection, calibration and repair of instruments associated with measurement, control and analysis of natural gas, LPG, and the other hydrocarbons that we handle. The Technician is responsible for maintaining system balances and customer relations. For this position you must be fully trained in safety, environmental, and PSM procedures. As a team member, this person will also assist other crafts in the completion of their jobs.
Provide weekend and off-hour coverage for the craft
Responsible for the installation, calibration and repair of measurement equipment including meters, stationary provers, samplers, flow computers and other peripheral measurement related equipment.
Responsible for submitting accurate maintenance reports, expense reports, timesheets and other necessary paperwork daily.
Conducts field sampling according to GPA and API specifications.
Troubleshooting and balancing of all field systems accurately and efficiently.
Organize chart routes and measurement activities for maximum efficiency and productivity.
Supervises individual jobs during outages and turnarounds.
Supplements workforce as needed during emergencies.
Responsible to troubleshoot, provide solutions, coordinate and order required materials to complete jobs within qualified work assignments.
Fully qualified in all areas within the job requirement and must maintain qualified skills.
Fully capable of providing assistance with other departments.
Provide accurate and timely communications to all departments.

High School diploma or GED is required
Must hold a valid Driver License and have an excellent driving record
Must be able to pass a DOT physical, drug test and background check
Must be willing to work 12 hour shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform or learn to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and demonstrate, by experience, knowledge of plant equipment and have demonstrated a history of increased responsibility.
Associate's degree from two-year technical school or minimum of four years experience in their related craft is preferred
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills to include knowledge of Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.
Experience with CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) a plus.
Ability to keep records. Read and understand manufacturer's equipment manuals and drawings, P&ID;'s (Process and Instrumentation Drawings), loop drawings, etc.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often exposed to outside weather conditions, which could range from cold and snow to hot, humid conditions. Walking on uneven terrain is often required during field work. High noise areas will be encountered.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
